I retired in 2001 from DHS after 32. I lived in Beebe at the time my husband was killed in 1997 and moved to Conway in 1998 to be near my stepson and family.

I think we all need to laugh! Life is hard and laughter and LOVE will get you through anything. I mean real love, not the kind where you can't count on the other person to be there, to be true to you and to grow old together! I biggest thing for me is trust. If I can't trust someone there is no reason to be around that person. When I'm in a relationship I give my all to my partner and I expect the same from him.

Hi! ok... i love, to be active...i hit the gym as often as i can in a week.. 3 to 4 times a week. i'm getting into Beach Body building...absolutly love it!!! lots of hard routines but they are so rewarding. Been divorced for a bit, not really liking being alone...at all!! But I am adjusting. I love people...babies, children on up to older ones...older than me LOL I love being happy and i am just now figuring out how to be happy...its exciting to me. i have learned how very precious life is and that even a smile takes effort and means so very much. i have learned to appreciate the very small things i took for grantite. Such as, that smile or that touch on the face or even just holding hands with your sweetheart. These are the precious little gifts that hold us together. Heavenly Father never meant for us to be alone...So i am going to keep searching till i find that prince charming that He has ready just for me...we will know... Happy Hunting... =)

After being on this site, I realize that we have all fallen into the generic "Profile Twilight Zone" ("PTZ") where we all say the same things. I'm guilty of it as well. Such as "I love taking long walks by the beach, cuddling by the fireplace, no drama, .............yadda yadda yadda". Really!

Here are some things I really would like you to know about me: I'm usually described as the girl next door. I can hold my own in the looks department and I'm secure with the body and looks that God gave me. I make the best of what I have and take care of myself. It's what I have on the inside that's my best asset. I have a heart of gold and I always treat others with respect. I'm intelligent, funny, and I'm not afraid to laugh at myself when I've had a "blonde" moment. I have a very positive attitude. I am a very loving and caring person who likes to take care of people. I love family and friends. All I have ever wanted in this life is to find someone who will love me and care for me the way I want to love and care for them. I am a widow and have been for the past 11 years. I feel it is now time for me to find that special person. I want someone who will be loving, caring, faithful, happy and willing to share themself with me completely. I would like that someone to hold my hand, to put his arm around me in church. I want the partner that others will look at and say, "I want a relationship like that." I would like someone with a beautiful heart and soul. If they possess that, they will have mine.

I love my home and family; I guess you could call me a "homebody"' but you won't catch me sitting around eating bon-bons and watching soaps! I enjoy working on crafts, and I've recently opened several 'stores' online. I buy and sell all kinds of vintage items, plus handmade miniatures. I really enjoy seeing my sons whenever I can, as well as my two grandsons. I love to cook and entertain my family and friends as often as possible! I do enjoy a nice quiet time for reading or just daydreaming; I especially love the summer and swimming!

I am compasionate, kind, generous, and faithful. I am Thoughtful, trustworthy and honest.. I love animals, and gardens. I am quiet, resourceful, thrifty and care about the environment.

I would love to find my best friend and husband to be sealed in the Temple and grow old together. Being humanly alone for the rest of ones life is the worst thing I can imagine for anyone. Heavenly Father said that "man should not be alone" , I know it is meant "mankind". I really dislike being alone, eating alone, watching movies alone, .... what about you? Don't get me wrong, there are many times which I cherish being alone, just not always.

I enjoy doing things with my family. I come from a large one so it's good to stay in touch with them and to do things with my kids as well. I'm an amature photographer, through out the yrs I've taken come classes but I still have not made it a business. I love music all kind actually. I'm a drummer. I was a drummer in several bands all my teenage life and was in one rock band in my adult life. I quit when I moved to Arkansas from California where I grew up. I love being in Arkansas because it has no smog or noise like California does. And I love the trees the beauty of this state is amazing.
My kids are very important to me. I fought for them very hard and have full custody but they do visit their father on occation.
After my divorce I know I needed to go back to school. I had put it all off for thirteen years so I'm taking another stab at it .
Also just for information sake my online name Starbuck is after the first mate on the Pequod, the ship Ahab commanded. Starbuck was the only person that went against Ahabs orders to kill Moby Dick.

I usually roll with the punches and keep my good nature; got stuck in the Dallas area due to the weather when I went there for Christmas and even made lemonade out of that. I had planned to get home earlier. I like to go to stage shows, movies, etc. since I used to stage manage our shows here at the Arts Center here and I loved it. I enjoy all kinds of music; I think music is like food and I wouldn't want the same thing all the time, a little variety there, too!
