My two children are what I live for, but now that they are out of state at college, I find myself in an empty nest without a partner to share that nest. Life experiences have made me a strong, independent woman but I would like to move on from this part of my life and be able to share new experiences with someone.

I love to laugh and to make people around me do the same. I am the kind of person you want in you fox hole and will make you very comfortable while you are there. I am an avid reader and love to travel. I am a professional woman who loves her career but also likes to keep the home fires burning. I love to read books and newspapers. Some would say I am a bit of a news junkie.. Especially when it comes to Illinois' politics. If you make me laugh, you have won my heart.

I am a happy person who works hard and enjoys life equally the same. I am easy going, with a lot of character and I look for a partner to share in all aspects of my life. I am not sure what to say to this. I am not desperate, just looking for the "right" person. I have been in several relationships that just didn't work out, some long term and some short term. I was married for numerous years and to this day she remains a good friend of mine. To put it simply, we didn't belong together. I am OK with just being friends with someone, but ultimately am looking for something more. I am an honest person and will always tell you what is on my mind. I am not looking for a one night stand, but someone I can spend the rest of my life with.

I love the outdoors. Camping, out on the lake, hanging out at the pool or grilling for friends and family is what I enjoy the most. I spend many of my late summer, early fall days watching football, both on TV and in person. I love to entertain. , I am not on here that Much. I have 2 girls.. One in College and the other one in High school. They love sporting activities.. I spend a lot of free time these days helping to coach their baseball and football teams, I never have been much into basketball. I am 5'10" but was never tall enough back in the day to truly enjoy that particular sport.

After being married for 23 years, I find myself back in the dating game. Like many people, I have no idea how thing works and just giving it a try. Have been divorced for four years now and looking for a FUN, POSITIVE, guy who looks a life as a glass half full and not half empty. I travel a lot with my job, and hope to find someone who likes to travel, try new things - like boating/sailing, the water - I love to snow/water ski and hope to find someone with similar interests or at least open to the idea of trying it. I enjoy Napa Valley and travel there once a year. My hold out is Italy - I've never been there.

I also, enjoy the quiet - calm of home life and can cook up a storm, entertain with grace and appreciate the arts. I'm not looking for a couch potato, let's explore life ... when you're in your 80's you'll have plenty of time to grow old and sit around ;-)
