I think life is a serious business, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy every minute of it. I’m laid-back, playful, and passionate about living. I see humor in the absurdities of life and human foibles, including my own. I have intense emotions that run deep, although people may not realize this under my calm and detached demeanor. Around people I know well I can get very silly.
I’m fascinated by literature, art, science, history, languages, other cultures, and the Human Condition. Knowledge is a life-long quest and intellectual compatibility is important to me.
My family teases me about my luxurious tastes because I do like imported chocolate and cashmere, but in general most material goods don’t have much value to me. I couldn’t care less about celebrities, parties, status, expensive cars, etc. I’m very interested in self-sufficiency.
At heart I’m very feminine and romantically-minded but I’m not crazy about things like sappy clichés or porcelain ponies. I’m always searching for authentic emotion.
I’m compassionate, sensitive, intelligent, wry, individualistic, self-analytical, and creative. Sometimes I like to be a little cynical and world-weary, but underneath I am an incurable idealist and dreamer.

I am a high school PE teacher and I also coach high school and club volleyball. I enjoy both teaching and coaching however I have many more interests in my life. I love my family and friends. I surround myself with positive people. I feel like I am open when it comes to dating, meaning guys who possibly have different backgrounds than I do, or interest, or whatever. Well, I am 23 years old and I have been living in Vegas my entire life. My whole family is LDS and I am now looking to really settle down with a good LDS guy. Okay, gonna get this introduction thing over with. I am a laid back, very easy going person. I take life as it comes, and think I am pretty seasoned in handling difficult situations with out going too crazy. I am also very open minded to others and their situations in life. We are all just trying to survive in this crazy world right? ;).

I get daily tasks done when needed, but I would much rather kick back and lay in bed with my special someone, or get out of the house and look for some fun! I want to enjoy life to the fullest, and not stress too much over things that don't matter in the long run.

I'm at a place in my life where casual dating no longer appeals to me. I have had fun, and met a lot of great people, but I'm ready to find someone I can share my life with. I am a hairstylist/dental assistant. A weird combination I know, but assisting helps pay the bills so I can do what I love, which is hair. My family is the most important thing in life to me, I would be lost without them. I have 2 Yorkies that I spoil way too much. I try to stay positive and most days I can find the good in everything. I am not saying I don't have my bad days, but complaining rarely makes them better, and it can always get worse. My interests are pretty diverse. I love to sit down and watch a baseball game from the first pitch to the final out. My knowledge of pop culture is kind of ridiculous. I could tell you who stared in a movie I have never seen, but to solve a math problem would take me all day. I grew up in a small town so I can appreciate dragging main, but I also realize there is a big world out there to see and I love to travel when I have the cash.

I’m not sure how to describe myself in this short paragraph but because that’s how things are done here I’ll try…My friends would say I’m outgoing and don’t believe me when I tell them I’m shy. At least at first. I’m also spontaneous and I like to have fun. I am independent and low maintenance and am perfectly happy hanging out at home but still love and appreciate thought out quality activities.

I am pretty laid back and easy going, but outgoing at the same time. My family and close friends mean everything to me. I am huge on respect and honesty. I love watching sports, but especially basketball.

My career is also a passion. I am currently writing a book (that has been an adventure in itself!). I love the outdoors -- hiking, lake kayaking, cycling... Im not a great skier, but enjoy doing it == and Im open to learning just about anything new if it involves being active and being outdoors. I am a person of depth, and have disciplined myself to listen well and not be reactive. I love to TALK about issues, not argue them. Exercise and activity is an important part of my life, and I believe have contributed significantly to excellent health thus far.
