A little about me...
On a wall at Stanford are written the words, "all that is not eternal is too short, and all that is not infinite is too small." If I were asked to pick a personal creed in life that quote would make my short list. I am very busy and have many concerns competing for my time, but in the end, I find little time for matters deemed too short or too small. Life is way too brief for passionless approaches. I am task orientated, results focused, time conscious, and mission driven.

For all the sobriety this description might imply at the same time I love to laugh and make fun. My sense of humor may not be immediately evident but give me a little time... trust me it will come out. I have not forgotten that man is that he “might have joy.”

I do my dead level best to be kind and compassionate and I'm much too aware of my own foibles not to be patient with others. I have lived long enough to learn that these attributes cost nothing but so often mean everything.

How I feel about the Church...
Concerning the church, I believe Jesus Christ is its corner stone. He is my Savior and personal advocate before my Father in Heaven. In my life, His church has been a perfect Liahona. Being counted among its Priesthood is one of my life's greatest honors. I can't imagine life with out it!

In as much as I am addressing sacred matters I feel compelled to mention one thing: When dating I work hard at not sharing love’s symbols prematurely. There is "a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing."

What I do for fun...
I love board games with the family and friends - Balderdash is a favorite. I can not resist a good theological question. I follow politics big time (was raised by a Goldwater girl). I am interested in alternative therapies (e.g. Tai Chi, acupuncture, affirmations) and leaning about nutrient dense foods.

A final note:

Want some truth in advertising? I will tell you what I am not:

• I am not much of a pet person - people generally consume my time.
• I am not a big outdoors person - I like the outdoors but can enjoy myself equally as well inside.
• I am not comfortable living without a budget - I agree with Dave Ramsey about 95% of the time.
• I am not a fiction reader - too much interesting non-fiction I say.
• I am not much of a traveler - I travel if it's connected to my purposes.
• I am not a good speller - it’s atrocious.
• I am not a crunchy peanut butter eater - creamy hands down.

So there you have it... some of what I am not.
